Nura for iPhone
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 15, 2026
Nura is a to-do list and planning app. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can remove it. The short version: your tasks are yours, we don't sell or share your data, and deleting your account deletes everything immediately.
Who runs Nura
Nura is developed by Caleb Holtsnider (“we”, “us”). Contact: holtsnidercaleb@gmail.com.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Signing you in and account recovery |
| Name (if you share it via Sign in with Apple) | Personalizing the app |
| Tasks, goals, notes, and plans you write | The entire point of the app |
| Messages you send to Nura's AI assistant | Generating replies and plans |
| Subscription purchase identifier | Confirming your Plus subscription with Apple |
Location — Focus Lock
If you turn on Focus Lock, Nura checks whether your phone is inside one circle you draw on a map, so it can lock distracting apps when you get home. This check happens on your iPhone using Apple's on-device location tools. Your location is never sent to our servers — we don't collect it, store it, or have a way to see it. Turning Focus Lock off, or never enabling it, means no location data is used at all.
How your data is used
- Tasks, goals, and messages are stored on your account, protected so only you can read them.
- When you use Nura's AI assistant, the text you send (and your current plan, for context) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply. It is not used to train AI models.
- Subscription purchases are verified directly with Apple using a purchase identifier — we never see your card details, because Apple handles all payment.
- Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. We do not operate a push notification server.
- If you connect Apple Calendar, the items you schedule in Nura are copied to your calendar. We do not read your other calendar events.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No analytics profiles built from your activity.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share data with
Only the services that make the app work, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Supabase — hosts your account and your data.
- Anthropic — processes messages you send to the AI assistant, to generate a reply.
- Apple — processes sign-in and subscription payments.
None of these are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete Account removes your account and everything in it — tasks, goals, plans, messages, memories — immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account or cancel a subscription; cancel subscriptions separately in your Apple ID settings.
Sign in with Apple
If you revoke Nura's access from your Apple ID settings, or delete your Apple Account entirely, we are notified automatically and delete your Nura account and data in response — you do not need to do anything else.
Children
Nura is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nura after a change means you accept the update.
